At Nova Weight Clinic, we believe it's important that you know where you stand. Below, you'll find a brief overview of our key agreements.
What we do
- Weight loss and lifestyle.
- No urgent or acute care. For other medical complaints, always contact your GP or specialist.
Our legal obligations
Nova Weight Clinic is a recognized healthcare provider. This means we work in accordance with Dutch laws and regulations, such as:
- Wkkgz (quality, complaints and disputes in healthcare);
- WGBO (patient rights);
- BIG Act (authorization and registration of healthcare providers);
- GDPR (Privacy and Data Protection);
- Patient safety.
This way you can be sure that you receive care that meets the legal quality standards.
Your rights
- Received good and careful care.
- Information and access to your file.
- File a complaint with us. If your complaint remains unresolved, you can contact an independent complaints officer or the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ).
Your duties
- Always provide us with the correct information we need to help you properly.
- Stick to the agreements made.
- Treat our employees with respect.
Appointments and cancellations
- You can cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge up to 24 hours in advance.
- If you cancel later or do not show up, you may be charged for the consultation .
Payment
- Most treatments are not covered by health insurance .
- You pay yourself according to our rates and the agreed term.
- In case of late payment we may charge interest and collection costs.
Privacy
- We handle your personal data and medical data with care, in accordance with the GDPR .

Liability
- We are liable for damages if it can be demonstrated that an error has been made on our part, within the coverage of our professional liability insurance.
- We are not liable for indirect damages (such as lost income).
Disputes
- Dutch law applies to our care and these terms and conditions.
- In case of disputes, we will first work together to find a solution. If that doesn't work, the competent Dutch court will decide.
